 Harissa Chicken Skewers Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 tablespoons Desert Breeze Harissa Spice Blend
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a bowl, combine the Desert Breeze Harissa Spice Blend, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Chicken:
    • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours) to allow the flavors to develop.
  3. Prepare the Skewers:
    • Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, alternating with slices of vegetables (like bell peppers, onions, or zucchini) for added flavor and color.

    • Serve with couscous, rice, flatbread, or a fresh salad. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, onion, olives and a drizzle of olive oil.
